About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can you go to more than one place with the 144 hour visa?

I have a friend coming from the US to Shanghai. If she gets the 144 hour free transit on arrival can she also take a train to Beijing and back in those 6 days? Or can she only stay in Shanghai?

She cannot go to Beijing. Travellers are allowed to move between Shanghai Municipality, Jiangsu Province and Zhejiang Province only.
