144 Hours Visa from Canada

I have Canadian passport travelling from Canada to Philippines. Spend five days in the Philippines then visit Hongkong for 3 days then visit Shanghai for 6 days but less than 144 hrs then return to Philippines for a few weeks and finally return home to Canada. Do I qualify for the 144 hours free transit?
How about from Canada to Philippines to Vietnam to Shanghai then back to Philippines and Canada? Do I qualify for the 144 hours free transit for this itinerary? Thank you.
