About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

2 stops permitted?

Hi,

I am travelling to Vietnam from Paris with a journey making two stops in China (Xi'an and Guangzhou) and then leaving to Vietnam. Am I eligible for the 72 hours transit free program ? I'm afraid that I won't be...

If I modify my flight to make only one stop in Xi'an and then go straight to another country, if I am travelling with another airline, is it still ok ?

Many thanks!

Benjamin

Yes, those two stops in China immediately limit you to 24 hours transit in China. But France-Xian(72 hours)-Vietnam on non-stop flights is ok. Separate tickets and airlines are fine.

Many thanks Rob, I was worried about the "separate tickets" issue as a Chinese friend was not sure about it.

Cheers
