About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Itinerary validity for the 144-hour visa at Shanghai

Is a SIN (Singapore) - PVG (Shanghai) - CAN (Guangzhou) - KUL (Kuala Lampur) valid for the 144-hr free transit at Shanghai. The stopover in CAN is transit only. In the same vein, is the following itinerary valid for 144-hr free transit at Shanghai: SIN-FOC (Fuzhou)-SHA-XMN (Xiamen)-KUL?

What is your nationality? If you hold a Singaporean passport you do not need a visa to enter China as long as your trip does not last longer than 15 days. If not, your multiple stops in China immediately disqualify you from 144 hour visa-free transit. Moreover, the free transit is not permitted at Fuzhou at all. And transit including multiple stops within China is permitted at Guangzhou only when the first transit point is Beijing, and the total maximum transit time is 24 hours.
