Leaving china

Hi, have been studying in Guilin on X2 type (single entry). I have mistakenly exited China to Hong Kong. My return flight to Australia leaves in a week from Shanghai, Can I spend the week in Hong Kong and fly to Shanghai to connect to Australia. I dont need to leave the airport. Is this OK without a multi entry visa.?

Hi, Richard, you can enjoy free entry to Shanghai if you travel like that. No visa is needed. Nice trip.
