About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Stopover at Guangzhou and Shanghai.

Hello I am from Manila Philippines and I will be traveling to Indianapolis, US. But I will be having 2 stop over at Guangzhou and Shanghai. But my total layover will not be more than 24 hours. Do I need a visa in China?

Thank you.

Hi, you need to apply for a visa in advance for mainland China if you travel like that.

Thank you so much. My flight will he on November 27 so I think there is no enough time left to do this.

Then you can try to change your flight for that. For instance, Philippines-Beijing-Guangzhou-USA will be covered by 24 hour direct transit if the layover time in Beijing and Guangzhou is within 24 hours.
