About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Foreign student in japan going to visit brother in mainland of china

Hi i am a student study in Japan and I would like to visit my brother who study in mainland of china. What document do I need? Passport and brother’s invitation letter?

Hi, you can apply for a tourist L type for that, and you should provide your passport and copy of its data page, a completed application form, and passport-style photo, your residence permit in Japan, round trip air tickets, and hotel booking record or an invitation letter from your brother.

I am extending entry permit for another 6 months. My residence card is expired on 21 dec 2017. But I plan to go on 16 dec-20 dec 2017, can I use my present residence card to apply visa?
