About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

LAX-PVG-HKG-SFO

I'm flying standby from LAX to PVG, staying 3 days, then flying on a confirmed ticket to HKG where I will stay 1 night, and then flying standby from HKG back to states (SFO)... Does this all qualify me for the 144hr free transit exemption? Thank you!

Hi, you will qualify for the 144hr free transit exemption in PVG if you travel like that. Nice trip.

wondering if this worked? I'm looking to fly standby to pek then 24 hours later have a confirmed flight to Hong Kong... confirmed to NRT and then standby to NY
