About:Chinese Names

Addressing children

I teach a little girl from China. Her name on paper is Moyan Jing. For weeks I have been calling her Moyan. She has not corrected me, but I just learned that I might be calling her by her last name.
I'm so embarrassed and am not sure if I should be calling her Jing.. or Moyan Jing... or something else entirely.

According to this situation, her last name is Jing. Moyan is her given name. But it will be ok for you to call her Moyan. In this way, it shows your kindness like her parents called her. Given names are often called between intimate relationship between good friends, teacher and students. Don't worry.
