Japan - Shanghai - USA

Hi, I will be arriving in Shanghai PVG from Japan on December 4. I have a flight from Shanghai PVG to the USA scheduled for December 6.
1) Can you confirm that I would be eligible for the 144-hour free transit with this itinerary?
2) Would I be able to buy a high speed train ticket from Shanghai to Hangzhou (and of course, from Hangzhou back to Shanghai) for December 5 using this visa?
