About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

We are going on a cruise from Hong Kong to Shanghai

We are going on a cruise from Hong Kong via Mannilla, Taiwan,Japan to Shanghai
The cruise ship Volendam stays over in Shanghai and we also. The second day in Shanghai we booked already a hotel room and leave the country after 2 days on a confirmed flight with Emirates. Total hours in Shanghai is less than 144 hours. The Holland America line say it is necessary to have a Visum. So what’s to do

Hi, if you will travel like Hong Kong-Mannilla-Taiwan-Japan-Shanghai-another country or region instead of Japan, you can use the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. No visa is needed. Nice trip!
