About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US-Shanghai-Cruise.

Flying US to Shanghai, having a 3 night stay. Then cruising finishing in Singapore then back to US.Can I get a 72hr free transit at immigration when arriving in Shanghai.

Hi, I'm afraid you cannot get a 72hr free transit because it is only applicable to flight travelers.

Shanghai does not have the 72 hour rule. It only has 24 hours and 144 hours. And the 144 hours rule also applies to passengers traveling from/to Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal, Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal and Shanghai Railway Station.
