Transit visa 24 hours

Good morning from Gianni travel agent Italy.

I've pax travel from Italy to Sydney with China Southern Airlines. The pax stop a Peking for 12 hour and stop only two hours a Hangzhou with flight from Peking to Sydney. Same routes on return. Pax need visa or is enough direct transit of 24 hours
