About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Journey from Hong Kong to Shanghai by train and return by plane

I plan to travel from Hong Kong to Shanghai by train and return by plane. Can I use the 144 Hour free transit?

If your route is Hong Kong-Shanghai-Hong Kong you need a visa whatever form of transport you take, because it's not a transit and therefore you obviously dont qualify for visa-free transit.
