Hello,I am having a tough time determining if I qualify for the 144 hour free transit, maybe you can help??I will be departing Kathmandu (KTM) on Dec. 16th and flying to Shanghai with a short connection in Guangzhou (CAN) before flying on to Shanghai (SHA) where I will be staying for 2 days. We will then get on a plane at Shanghai (PVG) and fly directly to Seattle (SEA). Our stop in Guangzhou is merely just a connection and we will not be leaving the airport at all. Do we qualify for the 144 hour free transit ??

You need a visa. You obviously do not qualify for 144 hours visa-free transit in Shanghai because of the stop in Guangzhou.
