About:Muslim Quarter
Do traders on Xian Muslim Quarter speak / understand basic English?
Hi,
I understand that English is not widely spoken in China, but I have concerns when buying stuff. Do sellers / traders at the street speak / understand basic English? I don't expect them to speak perfect English, just basic stuff, like numbers (1, 2.50, etc) but am grateful that they could understand sentences like "how much is this", or "I want 3 of these" etc and reply whatever I want.
