About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

stay 72 hours then fly back to Sydney. Does this qualify for 72 hour free transit?

With Australian Passport, flying from Sydney to Shanghai, stay 72 hours then fly back to Sydney. Does this qualify for 72 hour free transit?

Sydney-Shanghai-Sydney won't qualify for 72 hour free transit for it's not a transit at all. You are advised to apply for a visa for that in advance.
