How to get a Chinese visa by a Chinese national who is now Canadian

I am a Canadian citizen but was born 66 years ago in china. I never went back to China. I don't have a birth certificate nor any Chinese travel document. There is my mom's Hong Hong Identity card/travel document that I traveled with her when I was seven years old. It only has my Chinese name written in English and me in the the picture with her. My name is not written in Chinese characters. How can I get a Chinese visa for a tour?
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi, if you have Canada passport, and go to China for sightseeing purpose, the first step is to prepare all the required documents including passport and its copy, a completed application form attached with a passport-style photo, round air tickets, and hotel reservation. Next step is to submit the application to the CVASC.

It is possible for the consulate to refuse your application and you may need to apply for a Chinese Travel Document instead. You should contact Hong Kong Immigration Department directly to inquire about your nationality and possible HK residency that came with it.
