About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying from and to the same country

Hi, I'm a US citizen flying into Beijing from South Korea for 48 hours and then flying back to south Korea. I have a 2 year visa in Korea and am staying here long term. Can I use the 72 hour transit?

South Korea-China-South Korea isn't a transit, so obviously you can't use the 72 hours visa-free transit.
