17hr layover in peking

Hi, I will fly from Indonesia to Germany and I will have 17hr layover in Peking airport. Is it possible if i go to the city? and do i need a visa to go out to the city for short sightseeing? Laili from Indonesia

If wishing to leave the transiting area to explore the city during the layover, passengers are supposed to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration counter upon arrival
