What if any Visa Exemption is possible?

I am traveling through Mainland China in January to get to Southeast Asia and I wanted to see if my situation requires a visa.

Flights to Final Destination
Seattle (SEA) - Shanghai (PVG)
Hainan Airlines
Depart Seattle: 11:50 AM January, 5th 2018
Arrive Shanghai: 4:00 PM January, 6th 2018

Layover in Shanghai: 18:55 hours

Shanghai (PVG) - Shenzhen (SZX)
Hainan Airlines
Depart Shanghai: 10:55 AM January 7th, 2018
Arrive Shenzhen: 1:35 PM January 7th, 2018

Layover in Shenzhen: 10:25 hours

Shenzhen (SZX) - Bangkok (DMK)
Thai AirAsia
Depart Shenzhen: 11:55 PM January 7th, 2018
Arrive Bangkok: 1:45 AM January, 8th 2018

Due to the fact that we are passing through two airports in China and we have a flight between Shanghai and Shenzhen, I want to know if we would qualify for any exemption (24 hour transit, 144 free in Shanghai/Guangdong)

Thank you!

Hi, you cannot enjoy any free transit policy in mainland China because of your layover in Shenzhen. You should apply for a visa beforehand for the trip.
