About:Chinese Embasy in Jamaica

Re: Transit visa

Jamaican national travelling to Thailand. My Layovers are in Shanghai and Kunming in total that includes arrival and departure 33 hours and 30mins. On arrival I'll be in Shanghai for 14hours and 5 mins when leaving Thailand I'll be in both Kunming and Shanghai for over 9hours each. Do I need a transit G and do they offer a transit G at the Chinese embassy?

Hi, do you mean you will travel like Jamaica-Shanghai(14hours and 5 mins)-Thailand-Kunming and Shanghai(less than 24 hours)-Jamaica? If yes, you can make use of 24 hour direct transit in both ways, no transit G type is needed. Otherwise, you need to apply for it beforehand from the Chinese embassy.

Jamaica-JFK-JFK-Shanghai (layover:14hrs 5mins)-Thailand.
Thailand-Kunming (9hrs 30mins)Kunming-Shanghai (9hrs 30mins)-JFK-Jamaica
Is it 24hrs for each transit? Meaning
Departure from Jamaica to Thailand (transit 24hrs)
Departure from Thailand to Jamaica (transit 24hrs) or is it a combination of all transit hours?
Thanks so much Seth...

You can make use of 24 hour direct transit in both ways respectively if you travel like that. Nice trip!
