About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

NEW WORK VISA FOR US CITIZEN ALREADY IN CHINA

Our son--a US citizen--has been living/working in Beijing for a while. His current extended visa runs out in December. His current work position will end by then as well. He asked us to help investigate the procedure for a new work Z under his circumstance.
*What documents does he need--and how can he accomplish the new entry permit? We have his notarized college diploma and State of Oregon background check ready to send if needed to support his quest.
Thank you.

In order to apply for a work Z type, he needs to provide passport and its photocopy, a fully filled-out application form, a passport-style photo, and the work permit. He can go back to US to make the application from Chinese consulate.

But what can be done if he does not return to the US?
Thank you.

Maybe he will get rejection if he doesn't make the application from his home country.
