VISA requirement from Hong Kong to Guangzhou by train

I am planning to visit a friend in Guangzhou from Hong Kong in mid-November 2017 for less than a week [at most about three days].

I am a resident alien living in the United States, but I hold a passport issued by the Republic of Korea.

What kind of visa is required for me to do so?

Many thanks for your help.
