About:Visa Policy of China

I am flying into Shanghai from JFK and then from Shanghai to Kunming. Do I need a Visa?

This is considered a domestic flight.

Hi, if you will go to a third country or region rather than USA after transiting in Shanghai and Kunming, and your total layover time in mainland China is no more than 24 hours, you don't need a visa then. Otherwise, you need one.
