About:Visa Policy of China

American travelling to Hainan with a felony conviction.

I am scheduled to sing in a music festival sponsored by the PRC on Hainan,November 19-24, 2017. However I was convicted of 24 felonies due to improper prescribing of controlled drugs (I am a retired MD.) in late 2011. I received no jail time. Would China issue a visa to such a one as I?

Hi, David, it's possible for you to get a Chinese visa even you have felony conviction. You can have a try. Good luck!

Thanks! I was told by a Visa service I'll need to go to the Chinese embassy in Houston, from my home in Tulsa, OK, to seek approval. Thank you!
