About:How to Apply for a China Visa

I had a felony conviction for theft over $300 in Illinois USA in 1995

would I be able to get a travel visa for China?

Chuck, you are still likely to get it, but there are also possibilities that your application will be rejected. You can have a try and only if you try you will know the result.
