About:Chinese Embassy in UAE

Is it possible that you can send a friend to collect your visa from the embassy

with the pick up slip on the correct day? Is it just a case of presenting the slip and picking up or would you require any further paperwork?

That's possible. Maybe he/she needs to provide the passport as well as the pick-up slip for that.
