transit to kunmingshanghai

Question

Me and my traveling from New York to Kolkata with 15 hours layover in Kunming and 9 hrs in Shanghai. We would like go out in 72 hr free transit program for site seeing in Kunming and Shanghai. I'm hoping we should be able to utilize transit time in seeing these two great cities. Any recommendation for hotel in Kunming and site seeing service. Appreciate your response.

Your itinerary does not qualify for 72 hours visa-free transit because you have two stops in China. This immediately limits you to maximum 24 hours visa-free transit. Therefore you need to apply for visas in advance.
