About:How to Collect a Train Ticket

Passport at security bureau; only have temporary yellow permit

If my passport is at the security bureau, will I be allowed to travel and use the train and get the ticket with just my yellow temporary permit?

Do you mean the stay permit offered when your passport are used for visa application? If yes, this can be used as passport for travel within China.
