About:China Visa Exemption

Will be cruising from HK soon with just one overnight stay in China (Shanghai). Full Visa ?.

Do we need a full entry permit for just one overnight stay in China (Shanghai). The ship starts in HK - first stop Shanghai- then Japan and South Korea before disembarking in Beijing and flying home. If an entry permit is required how much is the approx cost ?.

Peter, if your layover in Beijing is also less than 24 hours, you can use the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai and Beijing respectively. No visa will be needed then.
