About:Chinese Consulates in South Korea

Working in Busan but want to travel to China. I work during operating hours.

Can I send someone on my behalf to drop off my entry permit application. I want to go to beijing for a weekend and I am not sure if the 72 hour window applies to me. Can I have someone else drop off my application and passport to get a visa? I physically cannot get to the office because it is never open when I am not working and the office appears to be closed over chusok. what are my options?

Yes, you can send someone to submit the application for you, but you need to be in the country during the application process.
The 72 hour free transit policy is applicable to those who transiting in China. If you will go back to South Korea after the short layover, you cannot use it.

If you apply for a regular for China, it usually takes four working days for the processing, and the express/rush service of 2 or 3 working days is available.
