About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Manila - Guangzhou - Los Angeles California

I have a 10 hours layover at Guangzhou. Am I eligible for the 24 hour free transit or do I have to apply for an entry permit before traveling? For the 24 hour direct transit, where can I apply for it?

Chie, you are eligible for the 24 hour free transit in Guangzhou. You can apply for the direct transit at the immigration office when you arrive at Guangzhou airport.

You'll need a visa if you intend to leave the airport. If you remain in the sterile transit area then you do not need a visa.
