About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I want to fly from Naha, Okinawa Japan to Los Angeles California

Do I need a transit visa if I have 10 to 15 layover and just stay in the airport the entire time?

Gilberto, I assume that you wanted to say that you will fly from Okinawa to Los Angeles via some Chinese airport like Shanghai or Beijing, but somehow, you have omitted mentioning it :)

Never mind... If I'm right, you are definitely allowed to do that by using 24 hour visa free transit. For example, if your itinerary is:

Okinawa - Shanghai - Los Angeles

And your layover in Shanghai 10 to 15 hours, you are definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit. You will print out your flight tickets and have the printouts with you. Basically, nothing more than that is required.
