About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Free transit Cosata Rican passport

My wife has a Costa Rican passport and we have a 16hr layover in Shanghai (LAX-Shanghai-Bali) in which we want to leave the airport. Can she get a free transit? Costa Rica isn't on the list and I was wondering if there was another way. Thanks for your help!

Hi, your wife can get the direct transit in Shanghai if your total layover time in there is less than 24 hours. Otherwise, she needs to apply for a visa for that beforehand.
