About:China Visa Exemption

Australian - living in Japan - want to go to HK via Shanghai and return to Tokyo

Can I get a 72 hour transit visa in China by flying from Tokyo to visit Shanghai for 3 days & fly on to Hong Kong before returning to Tokyo?
