In Indonesia with (30 days exemption) and i want to get a tourist L for China

I have an italian passport and I'm in Indonesia with (30 days exemption) and i want to get a tourist L for China. Today i call the China Visa Center in Jakarta and they told me that for applying here i have to possess an indonesian resident permit. There is an other way to applying from here without flying to Hong Kong?

Dear, as I know, you can apply from the CVASC in Jakarta as long as you have valid entry record in there. Maybe you should find a travel agency to see if it can help you solve this problem. Good luck!
