About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Is it possible to apply in a different region?

Hi, we live in Washington State, so our consulate is in San Francisco. However, we will be going to Washington DC this month, so it's more convenient for us to do a rush application in Washington DC. Would this be OK or would we be turned away?

Alex, usually, you cannot apply in a different region. You should apply in the consulate where your living area belongs to its consular district.
