Arrive in Shanghai for 2 nights and Leave by cruise ship

Do I need a visa for a 2 night stay in SH and then leave on a cruise which includes Hong Kong. Can I use the 72 hour free transit?

Don’t worry, you don’t need a visa and you can enjoy 144-hour free transit.
