Passport with less than 6 months validity

Hello,

I want to go to China in October, but by then, my passport would have less than 6 months validity. It expires in April 2018. Can I apply for a visa using this passport? I have just applied for a renewal but unfortunately I will get it by the end of September/early October, as I am an expat.

Thank you.

Hi, you can apply for a Chinese visa one month prior to the trip, so you can try to make the application in September, and your current passport has a remaining validity of 6 months when you make the application. Just have a try!
