About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

14 layover in shanghai pudong international airport from Lax to Cambodia

I'm international student from Cambodia and I'm currently study in the united state. I'm planning to buy a ticket from china eastern airline ( Lax-Cambodia) which is transit in shanghai pudong international airport for 14 hours. Do I need a transit G type for that? Can I explore the city during my layover time?

You can use the 24-hour direct transit, however whether you can get the entry permit or not depends on the officer.
