About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Vancouver, Canada transit thru Bejing to Hong Kong.

Travel from Vancouver, Canada with the flight to Bejing and then on thru to Hong Kong the same day. Do I need a 72 hr free transit as I am transiting

You don't need a visa for that. You'll get 24 hours direct transit.
