About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Shanghai 144 hour free transit for US citizen

I am a US citizen. I am flying into Hong Kong and would like to visit shanghai. Do I have to fly into shanghai for the 144 hour free transit or could I take a train in from Hong Kong?

Chuck, you are able to take a transit to Shanghai as long as you can qualify for the 144 hour free transit in there.
