About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

From Vancouver, BC to Behjing to Philippines

I hold a US passport. I'm planning to pass by Beijing for 72 hrs free transit then to Philippines. I will arrive 2:00pm on 4/18/18 to Beijing with Air canada then fly to Philippines on 4/22/18 flight time 12:55 with Philippine airlines. Is this itinerary works?

That's more than 72 hours so it won't work according to the current rules. But perhaps Beijing will introduce 144 hrs free transit soon. Who knows?

Thanks for replying. Sorry I made mistake. I mean I'll leave the 18th April and be in Behjing the following day,19th at 2pm.

Then, you can use the 72 hr free transit in Beijing. Don't worry!
