About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Re 72 Hour Free Transit

I am Now flying London direct to Guangzhou, staying for under 72 hours as allowed. Then flying to Istanbul, Turkey ( my thitd country ) for a 24 hour stopover then on to Canada. I travel on a CAD passport. Do i now quality with this routing for the 72 Hour Free Transit please? Please advise. Thx.

Yes. London to Guangzhou to Istanbul is clearly fine if you are on non-stop flights.

Thank you. I will have separate tickets with different airlines but that is the route all non stop flights. How long do i have to stay minimum in the third country that being Turkey please?

There is no limit on this. The Chinese immigration only cares about if your first stop outside China is a third country.
