About:China Visa

144 hour free transit / Fly Brisbane to Shanghai

We fly from Brisbane to SH on the 12Th Oct. 2017 (we fly to XIAN to see the Warriors for 2 days and back to SH) and join a cruise ship on the 17th Oct 2017.
We cannot see anything about the visa exemption on the Chinese Consulate web site or on the visa application.
What happens at customs in SH when we arrive. ( We read that this was introduced in 2016)
Do we show our accommodation details and cruise ship itinerary?

Paul, you cannot use the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai because of your layover in Xian. You are advised to apply for a visa for that beforehand.
