About:China Visa

144 Hour free Shanghai Pudong Airport entry/SH Wugong Cruise Port exit

I was born in Hong Kong of Chinese decent and a US citizen holding a USA passport. I shall fly from San Francisco to Tokyo. Stay for 4 days then fly to SH Pudong Airport and stay in a SH hotel for 2 days before taking a Celebrity cruise of 14 days to Hong Kong. The cruise will not stop in any Chinese port after its Shanghai departure until the Hong Kong arrival. Will the 144 Hour Free entry be applicable to me so I don't have to apply a Chinese visa? Thanks for your answer.

Tak, you are eligible for the 144 hr free transit in Shanghai. No need to apply for a visa for that.
