Malaysian passport - 10 hours layover at Beijing - Temporary Stay Permit upon arrival

Hi, I hold a Malaysian passport ( not under the 72-hour free transit country) and I will have a 14 hours layover at Beijing from South Korea to Auckland. Under the 24-hour direct transit I do not need any visa if I stay in the airport but I intended to go out for sight-seeing. I would like to take the 14 hours to visit Beijing city and according to the 24-hour direct transit rule, I can apply for temporary stay permit upon arrival. Whereabout can I apply for the temporary stay permit upon arrival? Is this within Beijing Airport?

Vyollete, it is said that Malaysian passport holders need a transit G type when transiting in China. You are advised to apply for a transit G type in advance for the 14-hour layover in Beijing.
