transit l type + business m type

Question

Hi there!Really helpful this post! You think I could get a transit visa with a UN used business M type on my passport? Here´s the situation:- my flight arrives on Hangzhou from USA (my first entry in China, considering to ask for a transit G type). I´ll travel by train to Shanghai and after 2 days I´ll fly to Hong Kong (is it OK leave Hangzhou to Shanghai with a transit G type)?- after couple days in HK, I´ll get a train to Guangzhou (my second entry, this time using my 2 permit business M type) to attend to Canton Fair.- after the fair, I´ll return to HK, where a get a flight to Hangzhou (my third entry, with my 2 permit business M type).- I´ll stay overnight in a hotel (outside the airport) and get a flight to USA next afternoon.It´s a mess, I know, but for your experience, you think I could have any trouble?Thx a lotCheers

Joel, do you mean you will travel like USA-Hangzhou and Shanghai(2 days)-HK-Guangzhou-HK-Hangzhou(24 hours)-USA? If yes, you cannot use free transit in Guangzhou, but you can enjoy it in other cities in mainland China, so you don't need to apply for a transit G type, a double entries business M type will be enough.

Technically you'll only need a single entry visa. US-Hangzhou-Shanghai-HK is eligible for 144-hour transit; HK-Guangzhou-HK requires an entry; and HK-Hangzhou-US would be eligible for a second 144-hour transit.

That's great! Thx!Is there any official website where I can find these information? I've read is a good idea to have it printed and present when applying for the transit G type, because the border guards are sometimes hard to deal with...

You won't apply for G type, but for the entry permit. G type can only be obtained at the embassy or consulate. There's really no need to print anything out as border guards are good at their job and will not give you a hard time if everything is in order.
