About:Power Plugs / Sockets in China

I am travelling from Japan to Hong Kong and then onto China

Hi there,
I will want to charge my smartphone and camera battery while in China. Both of these are from Japan. Will they fit into the wall socket? Will I need a converter? Thanks in advance for your help!

No, you needn't. The socket of Japanese is the same as China, which is duplex. China also has three-pole socket but the two-pole sockets should be enough for your need during the travel.
